Lot 2463 PE MOSIN NAGANT BOLT ACTION SNIPER RIFLE.

Cal. 7.62x54R. S# 190183. Bbl. 29". Standard 91/30 sights. Rifle has is configured as a PE sniper with what appears to be a nice reproduction PE scope. Scope has post reticle, flat screws, 1937 date & Factory 357 style markings. Optics are very good & clear. Buttplate is matching to bbl. shank. Bolt has been bent rather crudely & renumbered to match with last 3 digits in a non-Soviet font. Floorplate is mismatched. It is this catalogers opinion this rifle is a quality post-service assembled sniper rifle. Bbl. shank has scrubbed Izhevsk marking with 1936 date. Blued finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling slots & canvas sling. Right side of butt has strong Izhevsk acceptance roundel. Cleaning rod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: leather lens covers & canvas scope cover with Soviet Red star, hammer & sickle. CONDITION: stock has a lightly carved "X" in front of mag body, stock otherwise shows a few stable grain cracks, scattered dings, handling marks & scratches. Metal is an overall light gray color with edge wear, oxidation staining & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good plus bore with strong rifling.
